The Cēsu alus company has prepared a gift for children in the care of Latvian social care centers, orphanages, family support centers, and SOS children’s villages. To welcome the beginning of a new school year, each child will receive Ulman Laiku cherry kvass and Limpo classic lemonade as a gift.
Eva Sietiņsone, chairwoman of the Cēsu alus board: “This is the second year that we have implemented a charity campaign, greeting children all over Latvia with the start of a new school year. We have identified all the regions of Latvia and during this week more than 1,600 children will be sent a greeting. Starting school is an important event for every child. I hope that the drinks we have prepared will create joy and a festive mood.”
Director of Latvian SOS Children’s Villages Association Ilze Paleja: “We are grateful from the bottom of our hearts that socially responsible companies come to our aid in our care for children, which help us both everyday and during holidays. I am sure that the warm and delicious gift we receive today will help children celebrate the first day of school in SOS families and other foster families supported by our association in a particularly joyful atmosphere.”
In total, Cēsu alus sent greetings to 44 places where children who were left without parental care or grew up in socially vulnerable families were cared for on a daily basis – these are orphanages, social care centers, youth homes, SOS children’s villages and family support centers throughout Latvia. In the Cēsu alus charity campaign, a total of almost 4,500 liters of Ulman Age cherry kvass and Limpo classic lemonade were donated.
