On July 18, as part of the Cēsu city festival, JSC “Cēsu alus” and “Cēsu novadas pašvaldība” presented the annual award “Cēsnieks”. This year, the winner of the title “Cēsnieks 2020” is the businessman, owner of ZS “KliĖeni” and “Dārznieks” stores Aleksandrs Raubiško.
Aleksandrs Raubiško has dedicated his working life to the profession of a gardener and for almost 20 years he has been managing the farm “Kliženi” and the shops “Dārznieks”. ZS “Kligēni” is known not only in Cēsis and Vidzeme, but also in other parts of Latvia – in spring and summer, buyers flock to Cēsis to buy seedlings, flowers and vegetables. Aleksandrs, with his characteristic passion and activity, developed and created a large greenhouse complex and farm. Thanks to the flowers he grew, the city of Cēsu was beautifully decorated and bloomed every summer. In 2019, ZS “KliĖeni” received the Latvian Construction of the Year award for the reconstruction of greenhouses in Cēsis.
Eva Sietiņsone, chairman of the board of JSC “Cēsu alus”: “Cēsis can be proud of many enterprising, talented and passionate people who selflessly do their work from the heart and contribute to the development of the city. This year, according to the evaluation of the residents, the title of “Cēsnieks 2020” was awarded to businessman Aleksander Raubiško. Thank you for his performance and passion in managing and developing the “Kligėni” farm, as well as taking care of the beauty of the city of Cēsu.
