AS Cēsu alus brewery has received an honorable assessment of the Diamond category for the first time in the sustainability index experts’ assessment. The received sustainable business assessment confirms the high culture of responsibility and the company’s sustainability performance in the working environment, environment, society and other aspects of sustainability, as well as openness and transparency in the company’s operation and communication.

Eva Sietiņsone, chairman of the board of Cēsu alus: “We are pleased to receive this high – Diamond category – assessment. We have been participating in the sustainability index since its introduction in 2010 and during these years we have purposefully developed our sustainability performance. We have set a high bar and we are constantly working to ensure that our decisions and actions are sustainable and environmentally friendly, and we increasingly expect the same from our cooperation partners. This sustainability performance is the success of the entire Cēsu alus team and I am grateful to the employees for the joint achievement!”

Dace Helmane, head of the Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility: “Cēsu alus is one of those companies that has worked long-term and purposefully to improve its performance, not only in terms of internal processes and products, but also in terms of its climate and social impact. The achieved result confirms the investment not only in the responsible management of its value chain, but also in the development of the industry.”
