The company Cēsu alus has prepared a gift for children in the care of Latvian social care centers, family support centers, children and youth centers, as well as SOS children’s villages. To welcome the start of a new school year, each child will receive sparkling lemonade “Limpanietis”, classic lemonade “Limpo” and smoothies “Aura” as a gift. A total of 5,500 liters of soft drinks were donated in the Cēsu alus charity campaign.
Eva Sietiņsone, chairman of the Cēsu alus board: “We are grateful from the bottom of our hearts to the organizations and people who selflessly cared for and provided support for children. This year, too, we are continuing the started tradition and implementing a charity campaign, congratulating children all over Latvia with the start of a new school year. We have identified all regions of Latvia and the number of children to be congratulated has almost doubled this year – we sent greetings to 3,275 children. The start of school is an important event for every child and family, therefore we want to create joy and a festive mood.”
Kaspars Markševics, head of the Latvian Children’s Support Fund: “It is valuable for every person to realize that basically every child deserves to grow up in a safe environment where they are understood, loved and accepted, despite life’s rough turns. The Foundation has also grown, changed and improved during 27 years of providing support to children, where the basis of everything is the need to meet the needs of every child. I draw strength from my team and children’s laughter – let’s smile and do everything to our children would be happy!”
In total, Cēsu alus has sent greetings to 45 organizations that take care of children who are left without parental care or grow up in families at social risk – these are social care centers, youth homes, SOS children’s villages, family support centers and charitable organizations throughout Latvia.
