JSC “Cēsu alus” has been recognized as the best employer in the Vidzeme region for the seventh year in a row in the “TOP Employer 2020” survey organized by the internet recruitment company “CV-Online Latvia”. The brewery also ranked fifth among the TOP 5 companies in the production sector.
Ruta Pāvuliņa, Head of Human Resources at JSC “Cēsu alus”: “Thank you for the recognition! The last year has been challenging both for employers and for each of us individually, adapting to the new reality of life. Our main priority is the health and safety of our employees. We have changed our way of thinking and operating, adapting both to more effective provision of remote work and improving work processes and the work environment for positions where remote work is not possible. For those performing remote work we provided individual solutions to ensure an appropriate working environment, as well as psycho-emotional well-being by organizing employees’ well-being classes, but we implemented them both remotely and in the open air thinking, looking for innovative ways to maintain both team spirit and vigor, and to find new solutions for ensuring the development of employees and the company. Thank you to the entire Cēsu alus family of employees for the evaluation!”
According to the survey data, the main reasons for wanting to work for “TOP employer 2020 in Vidzeme” or JSC “Cēsu alus” were given by the respondents – recognition and good reputation of the company, engaging company culture, its values and traditions, motivating salary and additional benefits, good career growth opportunities, as well as inspiring and professional management and colleagues.
Aivis Brodiņš, head of CV-Online Latvia, comments: “Evaluating last year’s results, we conclude that companies that have tried to find creative solutions to adapt to the crisis situation and have purposefully taken care of preserving the internal culture in the company have received a higher rating. Despite the unpredictable situation and unlike the financial crisis, this time we observed efforts among employers to maintain the existing number of jobs and the level of employee remuneration as much as possible, which is positive affected the positions of these employers. In addition, when we meet less often and work remotely for a long time, support, cooperation and other human factors are most important. This time clearly shows the employer’s values and care for employees.”
The “TOP employer” survey was conducted by the leading internet recruitment company “CV-Online Latvia” for the tenth year in a row. A record number of respondents took part in the “TOP employer 2020” survey from January 13 to February 23 of this year – 14,851.
