On November 16, Cēsu alus joined a responsible initiative by signing the Sustainability Code developed by the Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility. The Code brings together companies that conduct responsible and honest business and are ready to reduce negative impacts in environmental, social and governance aspects. Currently, a total of 18 companies have signed the Code.
Eva Sietiņsone, chairwoman of the board of Cēsu alus, admits that thinking and acting responsibly and sustainably in the long term is the approach with which the company Cēsu alus has been operating for several years. Since the beginning, we have participated in the Sustainability Index assessment, which has purposefully enabled us to develop our sustainability performance and step by step approach the achievement of the established sustainability goals. By signing the Sustainability Code, we publicly declare our commitment to act in accordance with the principles of sustainable practices and to ensure that every decision and action in the company is sustainable.
