JSC “Cēsu alus” in cooperation with the Latvian Free Trade Union Union (LBAS), State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) officials and employees LAKRS trade union and representatives of LBAS member organizations will ring up the Great Talk and on Friday, April 22, together they will clean up a significant part of the city of Cēsu – the family house of the poet Eduards Veidenbaums “Glāznieki” memorial site located at 1 Aldari Square, Cēsis.
Eva Sietiņsone, chairman of the board of JSC “Cēsu alus”: “Cēsu alus, as a company with a long history, works with great responsibility in creating the cultural environment and historical heritage of the city of Cēsu. The city and district of Cēsu is the priority for local community “Cēsu alus” support measures, and this year our employees will also be involved in the activities of the Great Talk, cleaning and taking care of a cultural and historical object located in “Cēsu alus” on the territory of the brewery – the memorial site of the poet Eduards Veidenbaum’s family house “Glāznieki”. I am glad that the representatives of LBAS and LAKRS have applied to help with the cleaning of the territory.”
Every year, Lielā Talka gathers thousands of volunteers who jointly participate in cleaning up the territory of Latvia. Announcing the day of the Great Talk, the employees of JSC “Cēsu alus” together with the representatives of LBAS and LAKRS, a total of around 40 volunteers, will participate in the activities already on Friday, April 22 at 12.00, gathering at the memorial site of the poet Eduards Weidenbaum’s family house “Glāznieki”, 1 Aldaru Square, Cēsis.
